Friending and Such

Due to "Leverage", I get to know many new people, which is awesome! To those who are curious about me and maybe wanna friend me, just a few words about my friending policy.
It's very easy. *g* This is a mostly open journal, just a few very private things are flocked. New friends are always welcome. If I don't know you at all, I may ask you where you come from before I decide if I friend you back. I would appreciate it if you just drop me a comment anywhere telling me how you stumbled over my LJ.

One thing you should know. Two, actually. First: I read slash and I write it too. Yeah, the idea of two hot men getting it on does it for me. There, I said it. Move along now to Second: I read and write RPS. I have a very shiny tinhat concerning a certain RPS pairing that you can guess pretty quick if you check my interests, my tags and my journal in general. Hint: Two musicians. And also those two guys from Teen Wolf. But I also have my Reality Check in place. I. Just. Like. It. Period.

If you don't, that's perfectly fine. I won't force my opinion on you, never. Each to his/her/their own, okay? Good. I keep seeing the subject pop up in discussions and I just thought you might like to know before you friend me.

I only have one House Rule: this is a wank-free zone, period. There's a difference between "having a different opinion and expressing it in a friendly manner" (which leads to good discussions and/or agreeing to disagree) and "plain and simple bashing". First one is great, it would be too easy if everyone likes the same as everyone else. Second one (goes for characters and pairings and also for actors and RPS) is unacceptable. You know the difference? And you don't like the second one either? Wonderful! Welcome to my house, buckle up tight... *g*

Since there's sadly a current trend of name calling a certain actor/singer: Do it, and you're out. I don't want to read that. Spit your venom elsewhere. Again, see above re: opinion vs. bashing.

Now a little bit about me.
...who am I? Not-so-lurkerish-anymore, fan fiction reader (mostly Leverage, Jossverse and the corresponding RPS, with a good dose of Torchwood and Doctor Who. SPN/SPN RPS sometimes pays a visit, since there are so many crossovers...), Feedback Girl. As far as the Jossverse is concerned, I'm a Lindsey Lover, with Spike coming in close second. And I do firmly believe that Lindsey and Spike are meant to be together, at least in the Whedonverse. Hence my writing debut "Shifts and Changes". But I don't mind if they play around... *g*
And it seems like I won't stop writing. Hello Leverage. *eyes*

It's not my fault that Lindsey and Eliot would be just awesome together!


I discovered LJ as the best source for Spike/Lindsey fanfiction and now I'm hooked.
And I may be a teeny bit in love (understatement is an art, by the way) with Christian Kane. Come on. That talented, that voice and that looks? That hair? Go figure.

Books: F. Scott Fitzgerald "The Great Gatsby" ; J.R.R. Tolkien "Lord of the Rings" and anything by german author Karl May (the guy who wrote "Winnetou")
